A YouTuber has been jailed for filming at North Yorkshire Police headquarters in Northallerton.

Christopher Gallone, 36, of no fixed abode, appeared before magistrates in York yesterday via a video link.

Gallone, known on the platform as Live Free, pleaded guilty to two charges, aggravated tresspassing and failing to leave the land after being directed to.

He was arrested following an incident at North Yorkshire Police headquarters in Alverton Court, Northallerton, on July 6 last year.

Court documents say he tresspassed behind a private barrier at the police headquarters and disrupted numerous emergency workers carrying out their duties by filming footage for YouTube which posed a “great risk to
that activity, security and safety”.

Gallone, who is understood to be in prison for other offences, was jailed for a further eight weeks.

Social media accounts suggest the defendant had tens of thousands of followers on YouTube before his accounts were taken down.

It is understood the defendant is a member of the online Audit community which film their interactions with members of the emergency services and then posts the resulting videos online.
