
A woman was treated for smoke inhalation after an incident in Northallerton yesterday.
Firefighters were called to Bulamoor Road at about 5.30pm after a report of smoke in a property.
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Fire and rescue Service said: “This was due to pan being left on the hob.
“One female was treated for smoke inhalation. Crews ventilated the property.”
In a separate incident, a crew from Thirsk was called out at 6.23pm to rescue a cat.
The cat that had become stuck on a column under a flyover at Topcliffe.
A triple extension ladder was used to reach the cat.
