
A woman was given a suspended prison sentence after refusing to give a breath test.
Elizabeth Law, of Hillside, Danby Wiske, appeared before magistrates in York on Wednesday.
The motorist pleaded guilty to failing to give a breath test without good reason after being suspected of drink driving.
The offence occurred at Harrogate Police Station on December 13 last year.
The 46-year-old was given a 12-week prison sentence suspened for 18 months.
She was also banned from driving for three years and fined £239.
The defendant was also ordered to undergo treatment for alcohol dependency and rehabilitation appointments up to a maximum of 24 days.
