Wensleydale Railway has announced a Father’s Day special this weekend.
Passengers can enjoy a scenic journey through the Yorkshire Dales while being served a glass of prosecco and then a sharing platter served on vintage china with unlimited tea and coffee.
Nick Keegan, fundraising and marketing manager at Wensleydale Railway, said: “This Father’s Day, make it a memorable one on board our Father’s Day lunch train.
“A visit to our volunteer-led heritage railway is the perfect way to spend time with loved ones, enjoy a delicious lunch and stunning Yorkshire Dales scenery.”
Nick added: “Your lunch experience begins with a refreshing glass of fizz or orange juice once you take your seat.
“As the train departs for Leyburn, the railway’s volunteer staff will serve a choice of tea or coffee and a selection of freshly cut sandwiches and savouries.
“All you need to do is sit back and enjoy the food, drink and spectacular views of Wensleydale scenery from the comfort of your seat.”
The heritage diesel-hauled train departs Leeming Bar station on Sunday 16 June at 12pm and returns at 2.11pm.
The cost is £45 per adult and £25 for children (aged 14 and under) and includes the rail ticket and a complimentary glass of fizz (or soft drink).
