Volunteers are wanted for a new parkrun being planned in the Bedale area.
Discussions are underway to launch a new parkrun following the cancellation of a weekly run at Catterick Racecourse in 2021.
Volunteers are wanted to help run the event.
Organiser Trevor McDermot said: “Every Saturday morning, thousands roll out of bed and head for their nearest parkrun.
“These free weekly events take place all over the world and we are planning to start one in the Bedale area very soon.
“None can happen without a community of like-minded people helping to stage these and so we are looking for a new team of local volunteers to get involved.
“For an hour or so of your time in the fresh air a number of roles are available with full support given, as well as getting the chance for a quick natter with new friends, there really is something for everyone.
“We’d love to hear of your interest in this new venture.”
