A charity vintage vehicle run will take places in the Bedale and Masham area today.

The event will raise money for Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

It is being held in in memory of Heather Dobson, from Little Crakehall, who died in a road accident in 2010 aged 66.

The run will leave Burtree Cottage, Little Crakehall, at 10am and do 46 miles around the countryside, stopping off at the Wensleydale Railway station at Leeming Bar at about 11.30am.

The vehicles will head over to West Tanfield via the back roads, through Mickley, Grewelthorpe and into Masham.

After a slow procession around Masham market place, it will then head onto Fearby and Healey, turn towards Ellingstring, then take the back roads through Thirn and Thornton Watlass, before heading through Burill and Cowling into Crakehall and back to Burtree Cottage.

Donation buckets will be with some of the drivers and stewards who are helping.
