Hunton and Arrathorne School is celebrating success with its recent Ofsted inspection.
The 78-pupil school, which was inspected in September, was awarded a ‘good’ for overall effectiveness with the highest ‘outstanding’ judgement given in personal development, behaviour and attitudes, and early years.
The report concluded: “Pupils thrive at this school.”
They also noted that “leaders have embedded a broad and ambitious curriculum, personal development is exceptional and behaviour is exemplary”.
Headteacher Samuel Donaldson said: “We are delighted that the report reflects the ethos of our school and all the things we are so proud of – our ambitious curriculum, our excellent enrichment offer and exciting opportunities, but mostly the way it reflects the outstanding behaviour and attitudes of our wonderful pupils.
“As a team, staff have worked endlessly to cultivate a culture of inclusivity, of reading and the celebration of diversity.
To have everything we’ve worked so hard on celebrated within the report is very special. Our pupils were eager to tell the inspectors everything they love about Hunton and Arrathorne School”
Chair of governors Andrea Peacock added: “’We are delighted with our extremely positive Ofsted report which reflects the hard work and dedication of all of the staff.
“The school provides the pupils with amazing opportunities, across the curriculum, to develop personally and grow in confidence and our report is testament to this.
“The children really impressed the Ofsted inspector with their excellent behaviour and caring attitudes towards one another.
“We are very proud of everyone at our school.”
