Victim assaulted in own home by three men

Police are appealing for information after a man was assaulted by three attackers in Brompton.

The incident happened between 10pm and 11pm on the night of Monday, May 2 in Orchard Grove.

Three men called at a property and assaulted the occupant, a man in his 30s.

The man sustained a serious injury in the attack.

A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said: “Officers are appealing to local residents and anyone who was in the area at the time to contact if they have any information that could assist the investigation including:

  • Anyone who witnessed the incident
  • Anyone who saw any suspicious vehicles or people in the area that evening
  • Anyone who may have doorbell or private CCTV that may have captured the suspects arriving or leaving the area.

“Officers believe that the incident was isolated and that there was no risk to the wider public.”
