Two women suffered minor injuries in a collision on Friday night.
The incident happened at Well, between Bedale and Masham, at about 6.15pm.
Firefighters from Masham and Bedale attended the two-vehicle road traffic collision.
The driver of the first vehicle was out on arrival of the fire service and had suffered no injuries.
Two females in the second vehicle were not physically trapped, however they remained in the vehicle under care of fire and rescue service personnel until the arrival of ambulance paramedics to fully assess the casualties.
Both females were assisted from the vehicle and taken to hospital via road ambulance with what is understood to be minor injuries and shock.
Fire and rescue crews then made vehicles safe and left the incident in the hands of police.
