Thirsk Farmers Auction Mart is organizing a charity Christmas show and sale of produce and exhibits to benefit Freddie’s Fight and Thirsk Hospice.
The Show, on Wednesday, November 27, will include trade stalls, plus music from guitarist and singer Chris Berry, and Santa promises a visit too.
Members of the farmers’ chaplaincy will also be on hand.
To encourage children there are classes for a Christmas card designed by a child of 12 or under and children’s iced cupcakes.
There is no entry fee and the organisers hope that produce may be sold or auctioned off on the evening.
Organiser Judith Ellis said “we want to let the local area know what we do at the Auction Mart and improve our links with the local community.”
Items for judging can be brought in from 12.30pm on the day and judging will be at 5pm.
Full details are on the Auction Mart website www.thirskmarket.co.uk.
The auction mart is on Blakey Lane, Sowerby at the junction with the A19 York Road.
