
Sunlight reflecting through a glass window caused a fire in a garage.
A fire crew from Northallerton were called to the incident in Morton-on-Swale at about 10.50am on Friday after reports of smoke coming from the garage.
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “This was a fire to a garage, containing domestic belongings.
“The fire caused ten per cent fire damage and 90 per cent smoke damage.
“Crews used two hose reels, two breathing apparatus, a thermal imaging camera and small tools.
“The cause was sunlight reflecting through a glass window.”
