A second man has been arrested in connection with a robbery at a Northallerton jewellery shop.
The 49-year-old was detained by police in Redcar on Friday on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery.
It comes after a robbery at Bradley’s Jewellers in Barkers Arcade.
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said: “He is currently being held in police custody while detectives carry out their inquiries.
“A 38-year-old man from Teesside has already appeared in court following the incident on 11 March.”
Victor Okumu, 38, of Queen Street, Lazenby, was in York Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, after he was arrested in Fareham in Hampshire on Saturday.
The store was robbed by a man in a boiler suit and crash helmet who stole a large amount of jewellery.
It’s understood a man was injured during the incident.
