Members of Cleveland Mountain Rescue Team (CMRT) were called out to a walker feeling unwell on Friday.

The team was asked to attend by Yorkshire Ambulance Service after a report of a man feeling unwell while walking in the Greenhow Plantation area, east of Clay Bank, near Stokesley.

Team members were directed to the area, while they used the mountain rescue Phone Find system to get an accurate location for the casualty.

A CMRT spokesperson said: “By then he was feeling well enough to head to a nearby farm on lower ground, accompanied by other members of his walking party.

“Once we had passed their location to the ambulance service they and our Land Rover crew went to the farm and, when it became clear that he was there, we were able to leave him in the capable hands of the ambulance crew for assessment and treatment as necessary.

“We wish him well.”
