Police searching for missing Sheffield man Adam Perkins say they have found a body.
A large search involving police and rescue volunteers has taken place for the 24-year-old in the Great Ayton area this week.
Mr Perkins was reported missing on Thursday.
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said last night : “We have been searching for missing Adam Perkins, 24, from Sheffield and we are very sad to report that we have found the body of a man.
“Officers and search and rescue teams searching in the Great Ayton area found him earlier this evening.
“Although he has not yet been formally identified, Adam’s family have been informed.
“Thank you to everyone who shared our appeal.”
