Police have removed a fake speed camera from a Hambleton lamppost.
The yellow wooden box with a screen on top was taken down from a post in Crakehall, on the A684, between Bedale and Leyburn.
Police in Bedale have removed the box and appealed for the owner to come forward to collect it.
If not it will be destroyed.
It is understood the fake camera was placed on the lamppost in the west of the village.
It was positioned facing traffic coming from Leyburn and heading towards Bedale.
