Police investigating anti-social behaviour problems in Bedale area

Police are investigating several incidents of anti-social behaviour in the Bedale area.

A spate of issues involving young people have been reported in recent days in and around Beadle, Aiskew and Leeming Bar.

The Wensleydale Railway site at Leeming Bar has repeatedly suffered problems of vandalism in recent years and police say the yard is once again becoming a hang out for youths who have been in one of the carriages & caused damage to it.

Elsewhere, local officers say the good weather has prompted a number of incidents where young people have been playing in the beck off Harbour View, Bedale.

This has resulted in some of the residents receiving abuse from those involved. Litter has also been left at the location.

There have also been problems over the past few nights at Aiskew Park, where a group of young people have been hanging around until the early hours of the morning.

The youths have been drinking alcohol and causing a nuisance to residents, police say.
