Police commissioner to hear residents’ concerns

Police Commissioner Zoë Metcalfe and her team are to visit Stokesley and Boroughbridge to meet local residents and business owners to hear their community, policing or fire service concerns.

On Wednesday 8 November, Commissioner Zoë Metcalfe, Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner for North Yorkshire and York will be at Co-op Food, Springfield, Stokesley, TS9 5ER from 10am until 12pm midday.

On Wednesday 22 November, she will be at Morrisons Boroughbridge, Wetherby Road, Boroughbridge, YO51 9HS, from 10am until 1pm.

The commissioner is the link between the public and the police and fire and rescue service.

It is her job to ensure community needs are met as effectively as possible, by setting objectives through her Police and Crime Plan and Fire and Rescue Plan.

She is supported by the Office of the Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner, who help her with public engagement and scrutiny of the police and fire services and in providing a wide range of services to help victims to cope and recover.

The commissioner will be joined by members of the  local policing team and fire service who will be on hand to provide crime prevention and fire safety advice.
