Police are appealing for information after an attempted burglary at a property on St James Drive, Romanby.
The incident took place between 11.25am on Tuesday and 11.25am on Wednesday this week.
If anyone has any information about this crime or any suspicious activity in the area please report to the police immediately on 101 quoting incident number 164 of February 13.
In a separate incident, North Yorkshire Police are appealing for information following a theft of items from the back garden of a property on Meadow Lane, Northallerton.
The theft occurred sometime between 9.30am and 10am today (Wednesday).

In another incident, a yellow dumper truck was taken from a site on Winton Bank, Winton, Northallerton.
The vehicle was last seen on February 5.
