Film-lovers have got their first chance to look inside Northallerton’s new cinema.
Everyman opened its 39th venue at the town’s Treadmills development today.
A spokesperson for the cinema chain said: “Everyman promises a redefined cinema experience, and the new Northallerton venue is no exception.
“The cinema will consist of four extensive screens and 274 seats, all fitted with Everyman’s plush velvet sofas and armchairs for ultimate comfort, offering customers a high quality and unique experience.
“Each screen will also present state of the art technology for high quality viewings of a variety of blockbuster films, documentaries and live screenings.”
The company said there would be an extensive food and drink menu, with cinema-goers able to order and be served at their seat.
“Choose to indulge in hand-stretched pizzas and small plates, from hot honey halloumi to tempura prawns, as well as a range of vegan dishes, including pizza topped with chargrilled artichoke, sun dried tomato and plant-based mozzarella.
“You’ll also be able to choose from the range of premium burgers from Everyman’s exclusive Spielburger offering, including a house beef burger, shrimp and avocado patty and vegan cheeseburger.
“The new venue will also be operating a full bar, with speciality wine and beer, delicious cocktails and a range of alcohol-free drinks to make for a decadent evening without the hangover.
