The emergency services are at the scene of a serious collision in Northallerton.
Police say the incidents involves a female pedestrian and a lorry.
The incident was reported at just after 12 noon today.
It occurred on Brompton Road at the roundabout near Kwik Fit and Marks and Spencer.
Police, firefighters and paramedics are at scene.
Traffic is being diverted.
Motorists and pedestrians are advised to avoid the area.
Witnesses to the collision are asked to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option 1, and speak to the Force Control Room.
