
The emergency services were called after the gas was left on in a property.
The incident happened at about 1.50pm today in Back Lane, Sowerby.
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “Crews from Thirsk and Northallerton, alongside a specially trained officer responded to reports of the gas being left on in a property for a long period of time.
“The gas was isolated prior to the arrival of the fire service.
“Crews ventilated the property and assisted the ambulance service with a female casualty.”
