A second grant to help businesses affected by the omicron wave of the pandemic has been launched today.
In line with the Omicron Hospitality and Leisure Grant (OHLG) for business rated premises which opened for applications earlier this week, Hambleton District Council has launched an Additional Restrictions Grant (ARG) Omicron grant scheme.
This new scheme aims to support businesses severely impacted by coronavirus restrictions and the rise of the Omicron variant, including those outside of the business rated system.
It will provide one-off grants of up to £6,000 to support businesses from all sectors including hospitality, accommodation, leisure, personal care, travel and tourism, wedding industry, nightclubs, events businesses, wholesalers, breweries, freelance and mobile businesses (including caterers, events, hair, beauty) gyms, and other businesses that may have not received other grant funding.
The awards are discretionary and based on local economic needs.
The scheme is effective from January 21 and is not retrospective – and it closes to applications on February 28.
