The manager of Tesco in Northallerton has lost her battle with cancer.
A book of condolences has been opened at the store following the death of young mum Faye Stevenson, who died on June 21 after a battle with cholangiocarcinoma, a rare cancer of the bile ducts.
Tesco Northallerton announced Mrs Stevenson’s death on its Facebook page.
It said: “It is with great sadness we need to inform you that our beautiful Store Manager Faye Stevenson lost her battle with cancer on Friday, June 21.
“We would like to thank our customers for their support over the last eight months. There is a book of condolence at our customer service desk should anyone wish to write a message. The book will be given to Faye’s family.”
Friends and colleagues have raised more than £16,000 for Mrs Stevenson’s family for after an online appeal was launched in her name.
Mrs Stevenson requested that half the money go to St Leonard’s Hospice To support their good work.
