Northallerton man died in A19 collision

Police have named a man who died in a crash on the A19 last month.

49-year-old Brian James, from Northallerton, was travelling along the road at around 5.30am on Thursday, October 8 when he was involved in a two-vehicle collision.

The collision happened on the southbound carriageway near South Kilvington when the two vehicles, a black Peugeot driven by Mr James and a white Audi A4, collided and left the road.

Mr James was sadly pronounced deceased at the scene.

The driver of the Audi was uninjured.

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time and who may have information or dashcam footage of the collision.
