Northallerton library will be offering a reduced service and will require a temporary closure due to essential refurbishment later this month.
The select and collect service will not be available from Wednesday, March 10, until Thursday, March 25, although customers will be able to return books at the entrance on weekdays.
The public access computers will not be available from Wednesday, March 10, until Saturday, March 13, and from Monday, March 22, until Thursday, March 25.
Loan periods have been adjusted so that no borrowed items will be due for return on the days when the library is closed, and arrangements have been made to cover home library service deliveries.
County Councillor Greg White, Executive Member for Libraries, said: “This is essential refurbishment work to fit a new carpet and I would like to reassure the public that we will have the library open again as soon as possible.
“In the meantime we apologise to our library users for the inconvenience this may cause.”
