Northallerton’s Christmas lights will be switched on today with Santa holding a street party to celebrate!
There will be food and drink stalls including German sausages, roast chestnuts and mulled wine.
A full programme of entertainment is also planned, including a carol singalong, Leeming Military Wives Choir, Thirsk RBL Band and a nativity flash mob.
There will also be a vehicle exhibition, good cause market and three wise men on camels!
The event will run from 12noon until 5pm, with Santa arriving at 12noon and staying until 4pm.
The Christmas tree lights will be switched on at 4pm.
