No new Covid-19 cases in Hambleton for two weeks

The latest figures show there have been no new confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Hambleton for two weeks.

Data released by the Government shows that the last person to test positive for the virus did so on July 14.

So far, there have been 302 confirmed cases of the virus in the district.

Across North Yorkshire, there have been 2,562 cases, although none for the past two days.

Separate figures published this week by the Office for National Statistics show there were no deaths of people who had tested positive for the virus in the district in the three weeks leading up to July 17 — the latest period data is available for.

  • Week 19 – 2 in hospital, 2 deaths in care homes, 1 at home
  • Week 20 – 0 deaths
  • Week 21 – 1 death in a care home
  • Week 22 – 1 death in a care home
  • Week 23 – 1 death in a hospice
  • Week 24 – 2 deaths in care homes

Of the 71 deaths of Hambleton residents who had tested positive for the virus, all occurred after March 15, according to the data.
