A new temporary transmitter is nearing completion at Bilsdale to improve reception for North Yorkshire TV viewers.
Better weather over the North York Moors allowed the final sections of the temporary structure to be lifted into place by helicopter on Thursday.
Engineers say the 80-metre tower will provide improved TV signal quality across the area.
It follows the switch on of another mast of the same height in October.
The original Bilsdale mast, which was more than 300 metres tall, was damaged by fire in August and later dismantled.
Following installation of the broadcasting equipment and testing, the new temporary tower is planned to come into use in the New Year.
Arqiva, which operates the site said testing the new structure would result in some short, temporary disruption in certain areas, with further details announced in due course.
