Kiplin Hall and Gardens are celebrating World Earth Day this year with the opening of their new sculpture trail.
The trail, which was designed by artist Shane Green, features timber structures, carved by chainsaw that represent the biodiversity and natural environment in the gardens and grounds.
This partnership is part of the Wild Escape project which brings artists and natural wildlife preservers together and has links with the Wild Isles BBC programme hosted by Sir David Attenborough
Shane Green will be back at Kiplin Hall on World Earth Day this Saturday to show off his carving techniques.
There will be other activities for all the family to enjoy.
Kiplin curator Alice Rose said: “Working with our fabulous eco-volunteers, visitors can try their hand at several activities. From making a rain gauge to track weather conditions, to weaving a willow fish to decorate the garden.
“We are making egg box crabs, CD ladybirds and wildflower seed bombs! We have plenty to keep everyone busy.
“It’s really a jam-packed day out for all.”
