Hambleton District Council has introduced scratch-off parkcards for use in its long stay car parks.
The system allows people to block pay for parking in advance by purchasing a book of 16 scratch cards and then scratching off the correct day, date and month on the card to display on the vehicle dashboard.
They mean drivers can avoid using ticket machines in car parks and obtain discounted parking.
A book of 16 scratch cards cost £40 and can be used in Nothallerton, Stokesley and Thirsk.
They can be used in the following long stay car parks:
- Applegarth long stay, Northallerton
- Forum East (long stay), Northallerton
- Crosby Road, Northallerton
- Showfield, Stokesley
- Marage, Thirsk
- Millgate, Thirsk
