A new organisation is offering support and advice to unpaid carers in Hambleton.
Carer Plus Yorkshire was the name chosen in July 2021 following the joining of Scarborough & Ryedale Carers Resource and Hambleton and Richmondshire Carers Centre.
Both organisations have been providing unpaid carers of all ages with information, advice and support for more than 25 years.
Elizabeth McPherson, Carers Plus Yorkshire chief executive, said: “We are immensely proud to have built a team of exceptionally skilled advisers who are knowledgeable and committed to placing clients at the heart of their work.
“Our website has details of all the services and news happening in the area.
“On the site you will be able to meet the team and contact us easily should you require support or simply to ask a question.”
Elizabeth added that the ambition was to make connecting with the organisation as simple as possible.
“Now launched in November, we have four cuppa clubs and outreach hubs.
“We recognise the huge importance of connecting carers with fellow carers – sharing, learning and laughing together is a vital part of all of our caring journeys.”
A cuppa club takes place at Leyburn Arts and Community Centre, Leyburn, DL8 5DL on the first Thursday of every month between 10am and 12pm.
A cuppa club will launch at Richmond Methodist Church every second Thursday of the month from Thursday, December 9.
This will be held from 1pm to 3pm.
