Hambleton has a new district councillor following a by-election yesterday.
Philippa Ann James (Conservative) has been elected to the Raskelf and White Horse ward with 288 votes.
She beat Neil Beckwith (Liberal Democrats) -127 votes and Adam Harper (Green Party) – 102 votes.
The turn out was 18.73 per cent.
