The new year will see Evolution Business Centre in Northallerton swap the monthly lunch and learn meetings for breakfast briefings.
“Breakfast meetings have soared in popularity in the business world as they are now thought to be more productive than lunches,” said Marie Banks, business centre manager for the centre.
”We have been running breakfast briefings at our other business centre in Stokesley and have found people tend to be much more alert after they’ve had a good night’s sleep so not only are they likely to pay attention, but they are likely to be more enthusiastic about what is being discussed.
“We are going to alternate each month between Evolution and Springboard Business Centres.”
First up on the menu on Wednesday 9 January is how to Create high-quality video content.
Organisers say video content is everywhere these days. It’s more effective than text on a web page, and more shareable.
It grabs the readers attention and, if predictions are to be believed, by next year, 80 per cent of web traffic will be video content of some kind.
Andy Carter from Beambitious will show you how to create high quality and effective content by using a simple smartphone.
The free briefings are run by Hambleton District Council and take place from 8.30am to 10am and include refreshments and pastries.
