A motorist and their passengers were rescued from flood water after their vehicle got stuck on the A684 at Morton-on-Swale this morning.
Crews from Northallerton and Bedale responded to reports of vehicle stuck in flood water at about 6.30am.
Crews assisted the occupants of the vehicles to safety using wading poles.
The road has been closed due to the flooding.
The A684 is also closed at Stokesley Road, Northallerton
At 7.30pm last night fire crews from Northallerton were called to reports of flooding running off a field and coming close to houses in Scholla Lane, Northallerton.
The crews diverted the water away from the property using sandbags and advice was given to the home owner.
