Firefighters came to the aid of a motorist after his car crashed into a ditch yesterday.
The incident happened on the A684 near Bedale at about 5.40pm.
Police, paramedics and a fire crew from Northallerton attended the crash.
The fire crew assisted an elderly man out of the vehicle.
He was taken to hospital for a precautionary check.
