A motorist had to be cut free after their car crashed through a garden hedge last night.
The incident happened in Fleetham Lane, Scruton, at about 10.30pm.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said the vehicle had left the road and gone through a garden hedge.
Fire crews from Bedale and Northallerton responded to the single vehicle incident.
Crews assisted ambulance crews with the driver who was medically trapped due to pain.
Firefighters cut away part of a stump to allow a door to be fully opened so the driver could be moved.
