Man suffers fractured eye socket in Northallerton assault

A man suffered a fractured eye socket in an assault in Northallerton.

Detectives at Northallerton CID are appealing for witnesses following the incident.

It took place at around 3.15am on Sunday, April 17 in Elder Road, Northallerton.

The victim, a 20-year-old man from the local area, was left with lacerations to his face and a fractured eye socket.

A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said: “Officers are requesting anyone who was in the area at the time who saw the assault to contact them, so they can establish the full circumstances around the incident.

“They would also like to hear from anyone who may have capture dash cam, CCTV or doorbell footage of the incident.”

An 18-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident.

He has been released on conditional bail.
