A man has been arrested following a sexual assault near Thirsk last month.
The attack happened in Sowerby on Saturday afternoon, October 13.
A 14-year-old girl had been walking down an alleyway when she was approached by a man.
A struggle ensued and she shouted for help before managing to get away.
North Yorkshire Police say a man in his 30s has been arrested and has been released under investigation while inquiries continue.
