The last call for nominations to find Hambleton’s heroes has gone out.
All entries for Hambleton District Council’s scheme to recognise people who went above and beyond during 2020 must be made by March 1.
So far more than 52 submissions have been made – all looking to say thank you to Hambleton Heroes for their kindness and generosity, be that on their own or as part of a community group.
“We want to acknowledge the selfless acts and relentless efforts that have made a real difference to residents from across the district during the coronavirus pandemic – a time when they’ve needed it most,” said council leader, Councillor Mark Robson.
“It will also celebrate the innovative ways people have overcome challenges in their community.
“So far we have applications from most of the district, although Bedale is under represented – but would love to see more come in before the weekend.”
