A horse was rescued from a septic tank by firefighters today.
A crew from Northallerton and an animal rescue team from Ripon were called to the village of West Rounton at about 2.45pm.
They arrived to find a horse trapped in a septic tank on a farm.
The horse was rescued using manpower and farm machinery and the animal was released uninjured.
