A unique training programme is coming to Hambleton this spring – and it’s already full to capacity!
The Google Digital Garage event will be running three sessions on April 24 aimed at small businesses – to teach them how to use online facilities.
All of the free places across the sessions have been reserved with District Council organisers now adding names to a waiting list.
This is the first ‘Digital Garage’ event for Hambleton – and it will cover creating a digital marketing plan, or social media strategy and how to get a business visible on Google.
The District Council’s Vibrant Market Towns team are working in partnership with Google and Upskill Digital to host the event. They will be led by Google Trainer, Michael Knowles of ROAR Digital Marketing Ltd who has helped hundreds of businesses to develop, grow and improve their online digital performance.
“This is a first for Hambleton and part of our vibrant market towns strategy to boost all our market towns and their businesses – Northallerton, Stokesley, Easingwold, Bedale and Thirsk,” said Deputy Council Leader, Councillor Peter Wilkinson (pictured with Liam Spencer of Northallerton Glass, one of the many businesses looking forward to the event).
“Google Garage is providing a cutting edge programme giving businesses an excellent chance to learn. To see the sessions already fully booked with two months to go is excellent – and we hope as a result we will be able to provide more of these sessions to cope with the demand.”
The event takes place at Evolution Business Centre in Northallerton on April 24.
