A garden ornament caused a house fire false alarm early this morning.
Two fire crews from Northallerton were called out at about 12.40am to a property in the town after reports of an orange glow flickering at a property.
On arrival, firefighters found this was a garden ornamental light which had been mistaken for a fire.
No further action taken.
