A charity is offering Hambleton residents help to claim the benefits they are entitled to.
Age UK North Yorkshire & Darlington, which offers free impartial and independent information and advice from their centre in Northallerton has helped its clients to claim back in excess of £2 million of benefits in the last financial year and helped improve the quality of life for around 3,500 of its customers.
The service can advise and assist clients in Hambleton with a broad spectrum of issues including general benefits checks, attendance allowance applications, personal independence plans, welfare rights, housing, utilities, community care services and consumer advice.
Advisors can also help with signposting to other sources of help and advice where needed including other services run from the centre such as specialist veteran’s support services and health and well-being activities.
There is no charge for this service and it is freely accessible by anyone aged fifty or over.
Appointments are available at the Age UK NYD centre in Northallerton’s Zetland Street by calling 01609 771624 and home visits can be arranged for clients with mobility issues.
