Four people were injured after a car crashed into a tree last night.
All four were occupants of a Vauxhall Astra which left the road near Kirkby Malzeard at about 11.30pm.
Firefighters from Ripon, Masham and Bedale attended the single vehicle collision.
Of the four occupants in the vehicle, three were extricated by crews who took off the roof and doors.
All four casualties were taken to hospital by ambulance with suspected spinal injuries.
Crews used lighting, stabilisation equipment, small tools, hydraulic spreaders/cutters and sharps protection.
The incident was then left in the hands of North Yorkshire Police.
