Four men were arrested in the early hours of this morning after officers brought a suspected stolen car to a stop using a stinger.
The vehicle was reported as stolen from the Eston area of Cleveland.
Officers from North Yorkshire Police, who were patrolling near the border with Cleveland, spotted the car just after 12am in the early hours.
They deployed a stinger device that punctured the front tyre and the vehicle stopped a short time later near the village of Tanton.
The occupants of the car, four men aged 17, 20, 22 and 23 from the Cleveland area, were arrested on suspicion of theft and transferred into the custody of Cleveland Police for questioning.
