Firefighters were called out over the weekend after multiple fires were started in a derelict building in Thirsk.
Crews from Thirsk and Northallerton attend at around 7pm on Saturday to the incident in Stockton Road.
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “Crews from Thirsk and Northallerton responded to a reports of smoke seen coming from a derelict building after hearing bangs.
“Crews extinguished multiple seats of fire within a derelict barn and extinguished them before damping down the entire barn.
“The cause of the fires is believed to be deliberate.”
