Firefighters were called to a fire at a property in Kilburn, near Thirsk, last night.

The blaze at The Forresters Arms pub and B&B is believed to have started in bins at the rear of the property.

It then spread to the building, causing damage to several rooms and the roof.

Everyone was out on arrival of the fire crews, who were called at 8.29pm on Tuesday.

An investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the fire.

A crew remained at the scene this morning to damp down the fire.

Crews used jets, hose reels, the aerial ladder platform, thermal imaging cameras, small tools, lighting and breathing apparatus at this incident.
