Firefighters came to the aid of a man and his 10-year-old daughter stuck in floodwater.
The incident happened at about 1.10pm today at Kirkby Wiske.
A crew from Northallerton responded to the emergency.
Two firefighters in water rescue kit assisted the occupants out of their vehicle.
