Bedale and Richmond fire crews were called to a chimney fire in a residential property in Langthorne today at about 1pm.
Firefighters discovered a small fire behind the wooden mantlepiece.
Using tools, they removed the mantlepiece and used a hose reel to extinguish the fire.
