Firefighters were called to a kitchen fire in Fitzalan Road, Bedale, this morning.
Bedale and Northallerton fire crews responded to the incident after a report at about 5.05am.
Three occupants of the property were out on their arrival.
Fire crews used a hose reel to extinguish the fire.
They also isolated the mains gas supply.
